Typical Ben Politico Smith. Mitt has crowds, Sarah has hordes.
Don't assume that because Palin draws big crowds, she has huge support. The people who go out to see her have ONE vote just like the people who stay home. Because some of her fans are fanatical doesn't mean she has widespread popularity. Only a politically naive person would make that assumption.
Don't get me wrong. I like Palin but I'm open to a lot of people at this time. Maybe a candidate will emerge who we haven't even considered yet. I never heard of Palin two years ago.
Let's focus on 2010 and taking back the House and Senate. That's job #1. We can wait till mid-2011 at the very earliest to start thinking about 2012.

Every place Palin goes, she draws thousands. *SHE* was the reason so many people turned out to support McCain. And every TV show she's made an appearance on has #1 ratings. Her book was a record breaker.
Boy those Sarah fanatics sure do get around.
