The implementation of Martial Law requires a force to maintain and enforce it. Who will do that? The local Sheriffs Dept? The State National Guard? The Active Military? No way. Remember there are + or - 250,000,000 firearms in this country and most citizens are trained, prepared, and equipped to deal with any untenable situation like this. Martial law on a grand scale, especially against the people doesn’t work with the Second Amendment.

20% of the country is fanatical socialist. While many of these are abiotic-mass-ingesting weaklings, some of them do have good eyesight and eye-to-hand coordination and can be trained. Then there are those who are socialist by ethnic allegiance. Presumably Obama can buy some weapons from China and create his own force of thugs. Just give him time.

I’ve heard that, by number of guns, Pennsylvania hunters are the second largest army in the world. It that’s true, it might be fun to see them try to institute martial law...

You act like the Sheriffs, Police, and National Guard could be some form of opposition. I don’t see them enforcing it.

They are, by the most part, the segment of society that still has honor. It’s not who will enforce it, it is who will enforce it to begin with.

Most of the cops I know are NRA members, Reserve or ex military, and conservative.

I don’t know many liberal cops. There might be some, but they aren’t in Kansas.
