Jerusalem (CNN) -- A 23-year-old American activist stands in front of an Israeli bulldozer in Gaza. The bulldozer drives over her, crushing her to death. These are the facts.
Rachel Corrie, along with colleagues from the International Solidarity Movement, was trying to prevent Israel from bulldozing homes in Rafah, close to the Egyptian border. Her activism cost her her life in March 2003.
A colleague said at the time, "Many times the bulldozer came up to us and buried us with dirt, but they always stopped."
Corrie's parents want to know the truth about their daughter's death, whether the killing was intentional and who is accountable.
Craig and Cindy Corrie's civil suit against Israel's defense ministry starts in Haifa, Israel, on Wednesday -- a court date that took years to reach.
"The more we found out, the more likely that the killing was intentional, or at least incredibly reckless," Craig Corrie said. "And, as a former soldier, I was even in charge of bulldozers in Vietnam... You're responsible to know what's in front of that blade, and I believe that they did."
The Israeli military carried out a month-long investigation, which found no Israeli soldier was to blame.
"The armored bulldozer crew involved in the incident did not see Ms. Corrie, who was standing behind the mound of earth, and was unable to see her or hear her voice," the military said.

Maybe they should call her Mrs. Butterworth.
“It looks just like her... from the SIDE.”
ROTFLMAO!
Of course it wasn't reckless to protest in front of a bulldozer.

Rachel Aliene Corrie (April 10, 1979 March 16, 2003) was an American member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM)
PRO HAMAS GROUP
The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) is a Palestinian-led movement committed to resisting the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land
In April 2002, with help from Palestinians, international activists were able to outmaneuver the Israeli military during two of its biggest military operations, entering and providing support to those trapped inside the Presidential Compound in Ramallah
******
Adam Shapiro is the co-founder of, and the most visible American figure in, the International Solidarity Movement (ISM). The ISM is a pro-Hamas group that recognizes the Palestinians right to what it calls armed struggle in the form of suicide bombings targeting Israeli civilians. The ISM invites Americans and Europeans to come to the Gaza Strip and the West Bank to disrupt the anti-terrorist efforts of the Israeli Defense Force. Shapiro, a Brooklyn-born Jew, is infamous for having visited and acted as a human shield for Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat while Arafats Ramallah compound was surrounded by the Israeli Defense Force in April 2002. This occurred in the aftermath of a Palestinian massacre of 30 Israelis some of them Holocaust survivors at a Passover seder shortly after the Intifada was launched.
In November of 2003, Shapiro took part in the Third Annual National Student Conference On Palestine Solidarity, where terrorist acts were publicly defended; the event was held at Ohio State University. Shapiro is credited with saying, Palestinian resistance must take on a variety of characteristics, both violent and nonviolent.
Shapiro, who wishes to see Israel destroyed, candidly states that he does not consider himself a Jew. He and his wife, Palestinian-American activist Huwaida Arraf, have become the spokespeople for the ISM in the United States. In articles on the ISM website where they discuss their goals of dismantling Israel by supporting Palestinian terrorists, they use euphemisms such as legitimate resistance and legitimate armed struggle while claiming that they are nonviolent. The ISM uses as its motto by any means necessary.
*LOL* Most people don’t realize that not a painting of Rachel, but a statue.
Never take an activist to a bulldozer fight.
Maybe they should call her Mrs. Butterworth.
or Aunt Jemima
I recommend that movie classic, “Killdozer”. It demonstrates that in a man (or woman) against dozer contest, the dozer most often wins.
What was the question again?
"Ah've always been dependent on the kindness of bulldozah drivahs whose people Ah hate."
