I’ve never understood the need to embroil ourselves in a controversy that was over nearly a century ago-it makes about as much sense as reparations.
Our famous Congress just couldn’t keep their mouth shut on something that happened during WWI could it? They don’t even know what happened except for hear say. These people are so stupid it’s unbelievable. What the hell did they accomplish? Not a dam thing except piss off Turkey.
Has anyone heard what happened with that Turkish ship that left port for Iran - threatening to not be stopped a week ago ?
Did it run into Israeli blockades yet ?
Ain’t it great that the world loves us again. /s
Why did Obama get the works?
That’s nobody’s business but the Turks.
Wait a second. Congress passed this, not Obama. He said he’d stand with the Muslims if the political winds got ugly. So congress...UNDER THE BUS YOU GO!
I don’t know anything about it...
“Paging Kemal Attaturk... please pick up the white courtesy phone... Attaturk... the white phone, please.”
Actually, I’m afraid that Turkey has been going over to the dark side for some time now, and that became evident as far back as their refusal to let Bush send in troops through their territory when we invaded Saddam’s Iraq.
The Generals used to stand up against Islamism, and defended the legacy of Attaturk. No longer, however. They have permitted an Islamist government to fester and grow. Twenty years ago they would have thrown them all into jail.
Another foreign policy BO bumble!!!
Turkey’s an incredibly important ally; crazy to anger them this much.
They were until they elected an Islamic government. Now they are becoming just another terrorist breeding ground, just like all the other Islamic nations. Turkey was already lost.
“The Generals used to stand up against Islamism, and defended the legacy of Attaturk.”
The generals got busted.

The children running turkey are mad at the children running America and are spoiling for a fight.
When children rule, childishness is the result.
It was a genocide, but I agree with those saying ‘twould be better not to trumpet that fact just now, with Turkey, a key strategic ally, pivoting dangerously between friendly and non-friendly status.
Really? 70% of the airborne war materials arrived through Turkiye......or at least they did until this masterstroke of political suicide.
Obama can't be worrying about stuff like this. He's got health care to ram down our throats. Priorities, please.
Turkey needs to get out of NATO then.
Carter lost Iran. Will Hussein lose Turkey? I wouldnt bet against it.
Carter was a genius compared to this dolt. But lets be fair, it was nasty peeelousi’s congress that did the deed.
“Turkey needs to get out of NATO then.”
Yes.
