The Senate bill has no public option. Socializing the health care system was the whole point of this exercise.

Just because a public option is not explicitly in the Senate bill doesn't mean that it can't be made to have one.

Recall how the libs have successfully abused every well-intentioned bill that has been signed into law -- the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Air & Water Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, etc., etc.

I assure you that, somewhere in the bowels of this monstrosity, there is an opening that the public option could emerge from.

I don't believe house dems will vote for a bill that will tax union "cadillac" plans. That would change November from a landslide to a political tsunami. And unions are not the only factions that would become even more infuriated.
