Sarah Palin -- reality TV star?
The former Alaska governor is teaming with uber-producer Mark Burnett to shop a reality series about her home state, network sources confirm.
Palin and Burnett made the rounds at at least three of the major broadcasters (NBC, ABC and Fox) while in Los Angeles for her taping of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" this week.

The first one, no. I would guess it’s common practice in some circles.I'm a pretty liberal quoter myself---and I can't think of any time I ever forgot an attribution, unless I was reworking the letimotif of certain phrases (such as my tag-line---it's a smart@$$ remaking of the once-famous signoff of Vic & Sade, a remaking I use to sign off my own radio show, as it happens) for satirical or rhetorical purposes. But a) Free Republic isn't exactly a book manuscript or a doctoral or master's thesis in the making (though there's always the chance somebody might study Free Republic as his or her master's or doctoral thesis, you never know), and b) I'm willing to grant a man a mulligan or two for making the mere human mistake of the mere human memory lapse. (For what it's worth, I recognised the O'Rourke quote immediately and knew what our friend was citing and simply felt disinclined to make him a reservation in the woodshed over it.)
