AUSTIN, Texas - Texas Gov. Rick Perry took an early lead over Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison and a third candidate drawing support from the state's tea party movement as initial Republican gubernatorial primary returns started to trickle in Tuesday.

Perry sought the GOP nomination for an unprecedented third, full four-year term. Angry protest voters backing conservative activist Debra Medina could force the governor and Hutchison into an April 13 runoff election, if no candidate gets a majority.

The MSM is pushing Medina as Tea Party Ccandidate, so that tomorrow they will all be running stories how the TPM is DEAD.
Just Watch. Betcha!

I’m not surprised. I once had respect and admiration for KBH, but for approximately the last 8 years she’s been an empty skirt, IMHO.

It will be Perry beating White in the election.

Anybody else hate it when a government office only has one person running for a seat?

Medina is a bigger RINO than Perry! How many times do you have to be told!

If you lived in TX you would have a better understanding.

Exactly. I once thought of KBH as a real conservative heavyweight, but she’s been getting worse and worse with every passing year. I don’t know what happened to her. Too many cocktail parties with the fashionable establishment, maybe.

I don’t need to live in Texas to see how Rick Perry conspired all these years to kowtow to illegal aliens.

No one I know voted for Medina here in Dallas County. Too risky.

I don't know who your gov is...why do you care about ours?

If you think KBH or Medina would be harder on illegal aliens, it just proves you don't have a clue!

For living in Texas, you sure don’t know much about Texas politics. KBH eventually came out against Amnesty. Rick Perry is an amnesty queen. He alsohelped scuttle the border fence with the same ridiculously moronic arguments used by Janet Napolitano. He sucks.

I don’t live in TX but I know that. Medina is a nut, and the sooner she goes away the better.

Perry leaves a lot to be desired. The only problem is that KBH is worse....and White is worse than she is. If Medina slips by KBH and forces Perry into a runoff, he would win, but it would probably make him more honest.

I’d move back to Oklahoma if I could, although I’m not sure the politics in Ok make any more sense.

I think some of Medina’s ideas need to be heard. Like getting Texas OUT of Medicare, the EPA umbrella, and all the other illegal federal crapola.
