In TN in 2006, they tried to pass harold ford jr off as conservative

He comes from the Clinton 'third way' camp. Still very liberal but likes to put on a moderate face. Funny story, I actually met Ford about a year ago. I was on the same flight as him and sat two seats over. Our row got into a political conversation the entire way. He was the consummate politician, voicing agreement in a way to anything someone said (ie, you can't trust what he says, he'll triangulate to win anyone over). I will say, however, he was a very nice guy and a gentleman (he helped an old lady carry her bags and get out of her seat).

I have never met ford, remember being in memphis the week before the 2006 election and hearing about how conservative he was and that only racists would be against him, in other words SAME OLD SAME OLD. Met gore several times, man came across like a sleazy used car dealer
