Idaho first to sign law that would sue federal government over health care reform.

The first state to grow a pair (not potatoes I'm talking about).

Oklahoma Senate panel OKs death penalty for child rapists

OKLAHOMA CITY — Repeat child rapists who target young children could be sentenced to death under a bill approved Wednesday by a Senate committee, despite a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that restricts the death penalty to murder and crimes against the state.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio...our undocumented Homeland Security Secretary

Snips: Under Sheriff Arpaio, his department has either identified in jail, or arrested on the street more than 30,000 illegal aliens in and around Phoenix.

What many of these radicals who seem to have no loyalty to their own country, fail to ever mention, or possibly do not know, is that Joe Arpaio has lived all over the world, including Mexico during his 25 years as a DEA agent. Consequently, he has many friends in Mexico and while he may not respect the corrupt Mexican government, he does respect the people.

Audit - nuclear glitches at Air Force bases

At Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., home of the 509th Bomber Wing, the problem was failure to ensure personnel reassigned from jobs with access to a vault holding parts of nuclear weapons were no longer able to get in, the Kansas City Star reported. The audit found two airmen who were no longer at the base knew the combination and four others assigned elsewhere on base still had swipe cards giving them access.

Solar energy has its own NIMBY problem

Developer Victor Jansen hasn't weighed in on the nuclear debate, but he claims solar has its own toxic problems. Yesterday he filed suit [pdf] to stop construction of a plant in Moses Lake, a town most Seattleites know as a place to stop for fuel and food between here and Spokane on I-90, that would manufacture silane gas--a necessary component of solar panels. According to Jansen, the gas, if inhaled in too high a concentration, will make your "lungs crystallize, resulting in permanent injury and death." And he's worried it will be seeping into the air over 61 acres of land he owns adjacent to the site.

So, the VA pays the NRC, then closes the radiation treatment facility and the vets go eat a great big crap sandwich. Again.

I'm not really thinking much of anything about our federal government right now that I even want to post......and then I get THIS stuff to throw in the pot.

......just damn.
