I had an appointment while Diane Sawyer was giving the news on tv so I watched the entire program tonight. She mentioned that Obama had a checkup and was told about his smoking.
SHE NEVER MENTIONED THAT HE WAS TOLD TO MODERATE HIS DRINKING.
Some older people who watch her show never got that important piece of info about Obama, or other info in the past, but yet his ratings are still going down.

Actually, I think Jimmy will hold up very well in the “worst president” sweepstakes, even in 20 years. But Barak will be right up there with him. What’s impressive is that Barak got into the running in only a year. It took about 3 1/2 years for Jimmy to make himself into a household joke.

The news reports that I heard on the radio today, which apparently came from the wire services, mentioned the smoking but not the drinking. FR is the first place that I heard about the drinking.

Believe it or not, Carter was running ahead of Reagan in every poll until just before the election. Conservatives knew he was an evil putz early on. But the general public really didn’t catch on until much later.
And yes, I was an adult then and just as addicted to politics as I am today.
I was alive during carter- let’s see there was ‘national malaise’, gas lines, 18% mortgage interest rates, hostages in Iran, dead american soldiers in he failed ‘rescue’ attempt, Billy Beer, and what am I missing?
Just a thought: maybe Obama is on the terrorist watch list and not allowed to board “Airforce One”.

Jimmy truly stank of incompetence, but IMO he can’t hold a candle to a willfully destructive turd.
