What they need to ask themselves is: Why should people tune into ABC News? What distinguishes it?

Exactly.

I’ve always thought that the first nightly news that allows Rush Limbaugh to do a 2 minute editorial once a week will lead the ratings.

But they could do anything to distinguish themselves.

I want to see what happens when stations start dumping the network news in favor of more local news. I’m sure there will be a push to make it happen.

Doubtful here- there is a one liner on local and then they go to national..tell you if you want local go to their website.

That “local” half hour is followed by the network half hour so you get a double dose of whatever they are spewing at the moment.

Thanks but no. They have not and will not figure out how to cut their losses with local news.

Teeheevee news is worthless, even as entertainment. I tuned in in 1980, tuned out in 1981. Don't miss it one bit. Not only is it a waste of time, it's dishonest.

I think what would be really funny is when ABC gets to the point of almost complete irrelevance and price Rush buys them out and renames it as

America Broadcasting to Conservatives.
