LAKE JACKSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Congressman Ron Paul today endorsed Adam Kokesh, Republican candidate for Congress in New Mexicos third district.
As a fellow Veteran, Adam understands the many challenges facing our brave men and women in Uniform and the steps we must take to strengthen our national defense.
Said Dr. Paul, Adam Kokesh has been a tremendous supporter of mine. Now, it is time for me to support him.
As a fellow Veteran, Adam understands the many challenges facing our brave men and women in Uniform and the steps we must take to strengthen our national defense.
Adam Kokesh has dedicated his life to fighting for Liberty. He has set himself apart as one of the bold young leaders our Country sorely needs as we strive to restore our Freedoms and what has made America the greatest nation in history. I am very happy that Adam has decided to run for Congress and wholeheartedly endorse him.

Congressman Pauls endorsement comes through his Liberty PAC, a Republican leadership PAC committed to supporting Liberty minded candidates across the country.
Said Liberty PAC director Jesse Benton, Adam Kokesh is a terrific candidate who is going to ask tough questions like: Why is Ben Lujan voting to run up crushing budget deficits?, Why has he allowed President Obama to expand the war in Afghanistan?, and, Will Ben Lujan stand up for the rights of his constituents and work to reform the Patriot Act? The constituents of New Mexicos 3rd district deserve answers to these questions. Adam Kokesh will hold Mr. Lujan accountable.
Wasn't Kokesh called up by the Marine Corp for wearing his uniform for an anti-war dirt-bag demonstration?
No, not at all
The simple military service of a man is meaningless. Using your logic, John Kerry is a hero
Agree?
I meant it sarcasticly, a general discharge not being the best reference to an employer. Though an employer doesn’t seem to be on his resume. The Kerry analogy is apt, almost identical circumstances. Can’t help but wonder if there’s another discharge there somewhere, predating the Honorable he received from Carter.
Forget Ron Paul.
I just knew you hadn’t fallen off the reservation! :)
All three of those men would have done the same thing that we did without perhaps invading Iraq. They would have shot people like Kokesh.
I think the original injunction was against "foreign entanglements".
Ron Paul's position was widely held within the GOP as recently as 1940 but has been obsoleted by modern technology, which reduces our war-warning time from about 15 minutes during the Cold War to zero today, thanks to Chinese proliferation efforts (the "borrowed knife" strategy: a nuclear weapon goes off in downtown Boston. So sorry, so sad. Who did it? We didn't. Not our problem. Condolences.).
Discharged, a couple links in post 59. You might note the poster in post 43 which he fraudulently distributed in the name of a consertive group, a clear act of incitement. He's a quality candidate as anyone can see, it's no wonder Paul likes him.
True. Agreed. But they didn’t suggest staying in Afghanistan for 9 years either.
How can anybody trust libertarians when their favorite
son loads up legislation that he knows will pass and
gives the pork while giggling I voted against it.?

Shrimp Boats is acomin
They will be drugged up tonight.
So do we go ahead & vote Ben Ray Lujan (obama yes man) or do we just stay at home NM Voter
1) Gold Standard Economy
2) NeoCons caused 9-11 and the bad economy
3) Legalize drugs for all
No reason he can't be a Congressman, just cause he can't be a Marine anymore. Personally I find the fake poster in post 43 he tried to hang on conservatives a bigger problem, but I acknowledge that inciting religious or racial hatred isn't something Ron Paul would have a problem with. Just say someone else who worked for you did it. And it gets votes. And $$$.
(the “borrowed knife” strategy: a nuclear weapon goes off in downtown Boston. So sorry, so sad. Who did it? We didn’t. Not our problem. Condolences.).
And liberaltarians would have us do nothing because we wouldn’t want to get involved in foreign “wars.”
If #3 was #1, they other two would flow naturally.
dont you have more than one republican in the primary??
NO
He is opposed to the U.S. military intervention in Iraq and is noted for wearing portions of his military uniform to anti-war protests
Kokesh first came to national attention after he was interviewed on CNN and his photograph appeared in newspapers throughout the country, including the front page of the Los Angeles Times at a protest during Alberto Gonzales's testimony to Congress regarding the dismissal of U.S. attorneys. Kokesh, wearing his Marine Corps Boonie hat, held up a large sign counting the number of times Gonzalez said "I don't remember" or "I don't recall" (Kokesh claimed Gonzalez used such phrases 74 times).
In April 2007 Kokesh and a number of other activists were arrested for protesting the Iraq war in the Senate Hart Office Building.
On September 2, 2008, Kokesh spoke at Representative Ron Paul's Rally for the Republic in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he stated: "While it is our responsibility now to resist tyranny civily, while we still can, there may come a time when we will say to the powers that be, be it with your blood or ours we have come to water the tree of liberty who will stand with me?"
Kokesh and other IVAW members wore elements of their Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniforms for a street theatre action marking the fourth anniversary of the Iraq War in March. Kokesh and several other IVAW members were contacted by the Marine Corps and warned of possible disciplinary action for violating military uniform policies by wearing their uniforms to a political demonstration.[11] Kokesh felt that they were being subjected to selective prosecution because of their war protest activities, and replied with a defiant letter (ending it with "[I] ... ask you to please, kindly, go f*ck yourself.").
The Republican Liberty Caucus, the PAC that represents the libertarian wing of the Republican Party, has endorsed Kokesh
Oh how the greats have fallen. When I was an RLC Texas chapter member a little over ten years ago, they would have booted someone like Kokesh out on his a** and sent any hippie supporters of his packing.
