During an interview, Bill got up, approached a female publicist - and then told her to SHUT UP. After he finished chastising the women, he then began a diatribe BLASTING Black people for the high murder rate throughout the United States.

What do you mean by that?
People have been wondering for some time whether Bill Cosby is losing his marbles as he ages. Each year he seems to become more bizarre with his ANTI-BLACK-FOLK rants. But yesterday, Bill took things to another level.
If Bill was being interviewed, why did he have to tell another person to shut up? Was she heckling him?

After the link they suggest he’s “losing it” —wrong. He’s got a pile of money, nearing the end of his life, and so he’s getting VERRRRRRRY honest about his feelings.
You know why he told the publicist to shut-up? Cuz a publicist would be very finely attuned to cater to DIVERSITY, and he wasn’t having it.

Sensationalism. I am sure some ditzy "publicist" wasn't hearing what she wanted to hear so kept egging him to get the answer she wanted. It's a crummy excerpt.
I notice that while Bill Cosby was talking about the black murder rate the site notes that the "murder rate" has gone down. Anyone know how to look the black murder rate? The FBI's stats don't reveal murders by race that I can find.
Unfortunately for Bill, no one told him that according to FBI statistics, the murder rate in America is the LOWEST SINCE THE 1970s - when Bill was a young man. SMDH!!!
What BS. Cosby said nothing about stats changing, but about the lack of parenting and the correlation to crime and murder.
Moreover, the murder "rate" is down in some cities, but not all (see Philadelphia, PA).
Cosby addressed what everyone knows, but is afraid to talk about. The high crime rate among blacks in the United States.
As I posted on the site — incidentally, why don’t you guys? (you don’t need to register) — he’s one of the few people today with a media megaphone who makes any sense. And the publicist was no doubt trying to get him to answer quickly — dumb broad (and I’m a woman).
I agree about the barf alert.
This article does not do justice to older black folk, like Mr. Cosby, who are watching young adults and teenagers adopt self-defeating attitudes/behavior and kill each other.
Bill Cosby has never behaved as though he’s a victim of white society needing freebies.
It looks as if he was being interviewed in his home - where a *friend* was trying to help him with his answer - and he felt comfortable enough to tell her to stop interfering. It wasn’t offensive like Specter telling Marsha(?) to act like a lady.
He seems like a wise old gran’pa giving his best explanation for the deterioration of black parenting and the disastrous effects on the current generation.
Bill Cosby is a courageous lone voice in the wilderness - except for our several black FRiends here on FR.
I strongly think this link will be swamped in a few hours.
BC was being interviewed one-on-one in front of a TV camera —he’s seated and dressed very casual.
He’s very calmly decrying illegitimacy and crime —suddenly someone off camera interrupts him —mostly it’s inaudible. Cosby removes his mike, stands up and walks out of camera view, and has a short, mostly unheart converstation with this publicist who had been objecting to things Cosby had been saying —she was probably his employee.
He returns, attaches the mic again, and then calmly tells her to shut up —maybe he’s a bit exasperated.
He never gave the appearance of senility, never screamed, and never mixed his words up. He just feels very strongly about that topic, and she tried to stop him.
I AM SURE that the Forces of Diversity will LOATHE him for this, and will make repeated claims that he’s going nuts.

I agree with you!!! He doesn’t have to care anymore what other people think, he’s being honest and he’s right.
He’s a man of color who isn’t intimidated by the politically correct media elites or the race pimps in this country and he deserves a tremendous amount of respect for having the courage to call it exactly as he sees it. Too bad there aren’t more like him!

People who have worked with him in the past ten years have said he goes in and out of dementia. I don’t know if its true, but they have no reason to make it up.
His son, Ennis, was shot and killed in LA while changing the flat tire of his Mercedes, in 1997.
He has reached the stage of his life when he has thought a lot about what really matters in life, and I think he has got some answers.
And so he’s trying to share that with us, and with the black community in particular. For several different reasons, he is very free to state his honest feelings, and to a wide audience.
That’s what we see here.
