Fred Thompson is a good man, but he was just not able to pull it off against a weak field in 2008. If it were him against any of the RINOs, including Jindal, Cantor, Mitt, Palwlenty, Huck,etc. I would pull the lever for him in a heartbeat.

That was a bad year for strong conservatives.

Now that the nation has had four years of a manchild screwing up the nation, they will be longing for a grownup father figure with common sense to assume the presidency and set the ship of state on a sensible course.
