If so.....OMG. I went through a 4.6 in Ohio and I honestly thought the world was coming to an end.

Different ground areas feel it differently, I don’t think anything less than 4.5 I would notice, I had one here in Wasilla Alaska that was 5.3, was hardly much to talk about, all rock up here in my neighborhood.

I think the discovery channel actually had a show about this exact scenario just off the coast of central Chili. I believe it was on a couple of weeks ago.
The scale is logarithmic, so going from 4.6 to 5.6 to 6.6 to 7.6 to 8.6 would be significant (a power of 10). This earthquake would be 10000 times as powerful as the one you felt.
