I think you asked about the faults earlier.
The Haiti fault is slipping sideways; this one in Chile is where the plates are driving into each other, with one going down as the other runs over the top of it. The sudden drop or raise of the ocean floor will displace more water, and the length of the moving fault will also impact the size of the tsunami.
