Thank you and I will certainly read your link. I find archeaology fascinating and especially the Plotemaic period. I never really cared if Daniel did or didn’t write the book as I assumed that it would be similiar to the oral traditions as well. After all, those writing about the legends surrounding Troy weren’t there either, but it doesn’t make it not true.
My original posts was regarding someone (can’t remember if it was you or the other Freeper) who said the Bible predicted the end of times events before the Mayans created their calendar. It wasn’t anything to do with bashing Christianity or anything like that. Just speaking from a archeaology ideal rather than a faith based one. To hear someone say “It has to be true, Jesus said it” when debating archeaology history, and not just one find as someone implied, but an entire timeline! Seemed kind of out of sort to me.
