I've been hearing lower numbers - much chaos in that region now for good reporting. May not know for sure until gov't gets rescue teams out there to evaluate.
They made a mistake on the 40 meter wave it was actually supposed to read 40 ft. In reality it was about 36 feet, which is still a very devastating wave.
