The Republican party existed 100 years before Reagan - he became one of us with a gift to discuss it.

The Republican party is not the Reagan party.

If we stand up to our core values we will attract more Reagan’s.

Gotta give him his due - W’s the one Bush who never felt it necessary to diminish Reagan.

Nostalgia for Reagan; nausea for Bush.

IMHO, it’s time (long past time) for the GOP to apply the lessons of Reagan to the issues of the day.

I’d agree conservatives can’t simply bask in 80’s nostalgia. But neither should they simply “forget” Reagan. The issues may be different than they were in the 80s, but the philosophical underpinnings of Reaganism are still relevant.

No joke -Daddy Bush's “Read My Lips” and W's out of control spending is the Bush legacy. No wonder Jeb doesn't want to hear about Reagan anymore!!!

Jeb, it would behoove you to STFU. Conservatives are determined to take back the party, which will make you irrelevant.

I believe in promoting the future...Sarah Palin....while at the same time, remembering the ideals that made Ronald Reagan a great president.

As conservatives, we can do both.

The former president's brother, often mentioned as a potential candidate in 2012.....

Any Bush anywhere close to running for president again should be run out of the primary with such a force that none ever attempt a run at it again. Never, EVER again will a RINO Bush familymember get my vote.

“The Republican party existed 100 years before Reagan - he became one of us with a gift to discuss it.

Reagan was a conservative before he became a Republican. Regan Transformed the GOP into the conservative party and won two landslides. The Bushes came along and transformed it back into a mushy moderate party and gave the country Clinton and Obama. Now Jeb Bush lectures us to forget about Reagan. I say, Forget about Jeb.”

“The Republican party is not the Reagan party.”

No. But it soon will be. Again. Thank God.

No Bush is fit to kiss the shoe of Ronald Reagan.

This sob REALLY wants to be in the White House - so he can finish the damage done to the country, the GOP and western civilization by his father and his brother.

Since Jeb supports Rubio does that mean you oppose Rubio?

To those who have studied and understand them, the ideas of 1776 are as revolutionary now as they were then. That's what Reagan believed, and it is those ideas which are forward looking and provide opportunity and liberty for future generations.

Taking on the trappings of "hope" and "change," except labeled as Republican, is not only wrongheaded, it is dumb.

When the Republican comes along who can speak the language of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, warning of the dangers of concentration of power in the hands of people like the ones we watched on TV today, then Republicans will win the hearts and minds of the American people.

Reagan stirred people because he was grounded in the founding principles which motivated people to rebel against people like King George and the current President--people who thought they were appointed to serve as collectors of the people's earnings from their labor and redistribute it to other people.

The most forward looking ideas are those which were stated in our Declaration of Independence and structured into a government headed by "We, the People" under God. To that extent, we can look to Reagan's speeches and writings, and past them, directly to the Founders as a guide for future liberty.

-—”Jeb Bush’s comments to Newsmax in which he acknowledges Sarah Palin’s “charisma” but says she needs to add “some depth of understanding of the complexity of life”-—

Same crap papa Bush said about Reagan before getting his clock cleaned.

I suppose the only way to truly attain that depth is to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth, and be handed successful positions based on your last name and father’s connections.
