Republicans and Democrats were able Thursday at the White House's health care summit to come together on a number of issues, starting with the belief that the system needs fixing, but their disagreements also fueled plenty of fireworks.
The devil was in the details, and by the end of the full-day session, a significant breakthrough still seemed beyond reach.
Republicans appeared just as steadfastly opposed to the Democrats' sweeping vision of remaking the nation's health care system as they were at the beginning.
And Democrats refused to cede any ground to the Republican argument that they should start from scratch and take an incremental approach to health care reform.
Here are the specific issues still dividing the parties.

Obama’s Socialism was on display for the world to see.
It showed there was no intent to do ANYTHING in a bipartisan manner — the draconian disaster that the Marxists are trying to pass off as “health care” is just that and that is all they want.
Socialized health care is crap care for everyone.
The spoiled brat didn’t get his way again. GOOD!
A GIVEN! :duh:
At this point, any conservative who isnt willing to talk openly and LOUDLY about secession and reorganization will be shown to be a TRAITOR and/or a COWARD.
Under a secession and reorganization plan, a number of states would secede and then re-assemble under the U.S. Constitution (AS WRITTEN) as the Reorganized United States of America. All U.S. states would be invited to join - and most would.
The R-USA would have no obligation to pay the unconstitutionally acquired debts of old USA.
That would leave the Kenyan Usurper to preside over Vermont, TAXachusetts, bankrupt California and maybe a couple other states including Hawaii.
I beleive it’s up to democrats to offer to include a few of the republican’s ideas into their bill. Didn’t hear anything that leads me to beleive they are going to do that, so in the end WHAT WAS THE POINT?
The content of any federal version of health care is irrelevant as it is unconstitutional given regulating health care is not specifically listed in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. The people are not bound to comply with any unconstitutional act of Congress. This is the point people need to hammer home with their politicians!
At the end of the day Obama basically rejected every suggestion the Republicans made and then made the not so subtle threat that if the bill is not passed in 4 to 6 weeks, the Dems would push it through.... reconciliation. What a surprise.

Well, one of the good things that came out today was the outright self-indulgence and arrogance of this commie POS.
Yeah, we here on FR already knew it, but today it was out there for the whole country, indeed, the whole world to see. Without TOTUS, he was just a bunch of “uhs”, “ers”, “uhs” that really showed that he can, in no way, orate etc., With live cameras rolling, the arrogance couldn’t be hidden and it was obvious to even the soccer moms and 6-pack joes that would normally never realize it. I think it blew up in his face with just the opposite result. IF they ram this thru now, there will be hell to pay BIG TIME!!!
One wonders what Onada expected to get out of this stunt. I didn’t watch any of it. But from Freeper comments it appears he and the dems trotted out the Senate Onadacare version and recited the same talking points that Americans said “no thanks” to.
