You're probably right, but they're also DESPERATE to make this "bipartisan". Pelosi didn't just get 218 votes. She got ONE of the votes to be a Republican. Reid got ONE Republican to vote for cloture. Suddenly, the press was having orgasms over the "bipartisan" bills.

The precious independents and moderates don't want to see "partisanship", so the Dems need that cover. They must have figured they could have turned at least one Republican by going on about people swapping false teeth and Obama's daughter's trip to the emergency room.
