COVERAGE DOES NOT EQUAL CARE — that was the money line
I’ve written a so-called conservative senator twice and pointed out that this is not health care they’re talking about. It’s insurance reform.
I also pointed out that hosptitals charge 3 times what they’re willing to accept in payment from the insurance companies. I had a bill of $83,000. The hospital accepted $29,000 from my insurance company. The poor smuck in the next room without insurance now has an $83,000 judgement against him.
The senator was Cornyn. He’s been there just long enough to get used to the perks. Personally I’m voting against every incumbent in the next election. I don’t care who they are. It’ll be my way of voting for term limits every 2 to 6 years.
