Doesn’t everyone see that this is just a charade, so the Dems can come out next week and say “Well, we tried, but you saw for yourself, those darn Republicans are just obstructionists, so now it’s up to us to get this done with reconciliation”.

The Republicans need to have one of their guys (ie Paul Ryan) say at some point: "We know we can't get all this done today... Here's a list of OUR ideas for health care reform (and Ryan should READ the list)... we'll be happy to take this up with you on Monday...", then they should get up and leave.
If they allow Obozo to wrap this thing up in a negative light, the Republicans are going to get hurt.
