I thought that Health-Care Portability Act that was passed during the Clinton admin. removed the restriction of having a pre-existing condition when you changed insurance plans because of taking a new job?
Because you’re a high risk, you idiot.
This isn’t about people who have jobs. Truly, it isn’t.
It’s mostly about those who don’t and who won’t.
A few good hard-working folks get caught in the potholes that need to be fixed, but this is really about the government taking care of people who aren’t paying taxes and aren’t contributing.
Sorry, but true.
And McCain just said “Cornhusker kickback.” Chuckle.
It’s my understanding that if you have a lapse in health insurance coverage of more than 30 days, you can be subjected to the pre-existing insurance coverage. SOmeo0ne else may have more information on that, but when our son changed jobs, we were told to buy private coverage for him during the interim. They (the insurance company) even sent us a letter that helped us prove he was continually covered.
