It’s a debate tactic to turn the argument to your favor, cut the other guy off and lay on the shuck and jive that you think the audience wants to hear. Remember Alinsky, talk in the zone of your intended audience.

Someone needs to say, “Excuse me, Mr. President, BUT LET ME SPEAK. You’ve been monopolizing and interrupting constantly. I thought you were here to hear our ideas, which you have refused to hear so far! There is a reason for the BIPARTISAN OPPOSITION to this bill! There is a way to reform healthcare that will work and not bankrupt the country. We do not need a Gov’t takeover.”
