That is their plan. And the people are helping with all their might.
True story: The first time Jeb Bush ran for Governor of Florida, Lawton Chiles , a Democrat, was the Governor. Just before election day, jeb was ahead and Chiles had a phone bank call every old person in Florida telling them that if Jeb was elected, he would do away with their Social Security. They believed it and Chiles won.So yeah, if they keep voting Democrat, they deserve what they get.

Sounds more like you hate people who were smart enough to invest wisely for old age.

The hit to area taxpayers is so staggering that experts wonder how our congressmen and senators can support it. Substitute Bueler for Schumer. "Bueler?, Bueler?, Bueler?, Bueler?"

Rush had the solution a long time ago. We ALL give DC 100% of what me earn and the government in return will supply us with three meals a day + snacks. What could be fairer?

But- will the Pubbies have the spine to overturn this mess if given the chance? Judging by their track record, HELL NO! They're afraid to upset the apple cart
because they don't want to be judged by the MSM as complaining.
But what they fail to see is that governing the right way isn't complaining.
Just try to tell them that though. Spineless RINO cowards!

I dont hate them but - I am always waiting to be disappointed or having them snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. You never know what Collins, Snowe, or McCain are gonna do. Hell - my own rep - (usually) reliable conservative Chris Smith of NJ - voted for the Tax and Cap bill in the House. The damn thing passed by only a few votes and my guy was one of them. It seemed as though those in reliably safe districts voted for the thing to cover for those in less reliable districts.
There's something in the water there that turns Democrat's into Socialists and, dissolves the spines of Republican's.

The article doesn’t mention a lot of key facts but the proposal is for the 2.9% medicare tax to apply to interest, dividends, rent, royalties, annuities, and maybe capital gains. Allegedly, that only applies to the wealthy ($200,000) but in a few years it will probably apply to everyone.

Karma... Just weeks before his term-limited retirement, Lawton Chiles had a massive heart attack and died.

They will never pass it, mark my words, this is nothing but grandstanding for the left, it’s all for show.
To: TexasFreeper2009
Yea - that’s what I am hoping for - just a big dog and pony show for the leftist base. Hopefully - the left will realize that the Dem’s couldnt get enough of their own people in line and needed a few Republican’s to provide cover for them. Thankfully, the Republican’s have decided not to play along to this point.
