Not at all to be construed as a defense or endorsement of Paul IN ANY WAY, but besides Jeff Flake and Tom Coburn, there really isn't a single principled politician on the subject of earmarks. They all do it, some just more brazenly than others.
Packing a bill with pork and then being honest by voting for it is one thing.
Doing the same but voting against it so one can lie about one’s record as a big spender is another.
