We don’t have to accept it. They can do what they damn well please, but I as a conservative reject them.
Anybody stupid enough to believe that all they want is tolerance is a fool. They demand acceptance.
They demand special status, they demand long held traditions fall to their radical and minority viewpoints...ie homosexual marriage and repeal of don’t ask, don’t tell.

Pushing left of DADT is the very touchstone of this folly. Anyone with a gram of common sense knows this is going to bring chaos to a force stretched almost to the breaking point already. Let the pristine political egalitarian nuts and flakes scream “homophobia” all they want, human nature wasn’t created / did not evolve (choose one or more) for such situations. Again, with all the kvetching about wishing they had been able to keep DADT dropouts in specialty roles, one thing might work if the services decide they need it bad enough. Black sheep squadrons, all members explicitly self identified either gay or don’t care. And these had better watch their behinds real close (pun intended) when treading on Muslim soil.

They demand an endorsement of their “orientation” over any other component of their being.
They demand public attention if not outright esteem for their behavior that they proudly wear on their sleeve.
They demand the cultural dismantling of a taboo that goes against nature itself.
They demand the government be a partner in their Fascistic condemnation of anyone who dares to disagree with their agenda.
They SAY they only demand that we amend the very definition of marriage for the sake of equality. But it has never been about something that they want to GAIN. It’s all about what they want to DEPRIVE us of.
And they’ve gotten most of their agenda handed them in the last 10 years. If they get their way, the GENDER of our children’s choice of a mate will be of no consideration or consequence.
Gayness is the antithesis of conservatism. Being void of self-constraint, homosexuality is an inherently liberal trait. Conservatives and gays will never be able to peacefully co-exist. And I’m quite comfortable ceding that demographic to the other side.
