Canadian nuclear scientist who has not been seen for more than a month has simply vanished, leaving "absolutely no trace at all," police say.
Lachlan Cranswick, 41, a physicist from the Chalk River Laboratories nuclear facility in Ottawa, was last seen on Jan. 18, when he left his job and boarded a bus to Deep River, his hometown along the Ottawa River with a population of roughly 4,300.

Seriously though, this is suspicious. I mean, if an adult wants to disappear, they can probably pull it off with some planning. Someone intelligent enough and educated enough to be in his field should have no trouble pulling it off. But why would he? Or did someone decide it was time for him to disappear and maybe come help them???

His expertise is crystalography, judging by his home page. This is in relation to experimental use of reactor neutrons for diffraction studies, and stuff like that. So, I don’t think he’d be sought after for any kind of weapons development.

Can't find anything on the disapperance of Bio techs but there have been a score of reports on materials missing or unaccounted for....the latest in
2009.
Of course the reporting is scanty in these sort of incidents, usually denied by the fed agencies to keep the public calm.
