I lived through that Mormon/John Birch era. In those days I didn’t even know the church was questionable let alone Skousen. Trouble was that when you go to meetings with people whose eyes are already glazed over with Mormonism and the big shots whom you respected the day before all started looking and sounding like Glenn Beck, it was cause for concern.
Maybe that’s why I see through him.
BTW Mormon American Conservative Author is very forgiving description for that off the charts right wing fundamentalist who was also probably a polygamist.

When I lived in Utah and was at BYU, the Birchers were big on campus and there were a lot of billboards. Utah is still the only state I see Birch billboards in, there may be some in the south, but they are still big in UT.
