He never blamed the US for the 9/11 attack. It's funny because some say that Paul blames it on an inside job (which Paul certainly never did) and then others say he blamed the USA for it (can't have it both ways). What he stated, in all intellectual honesty, was that our meddling and nation building led to us being brought into the Arabic conflict, which it did. We didn't begin to get hit by Islamofascists on our own soil (and ships and barracks) until Clintoon started implementing his foreign policy (which we all opposed). Then Clintoon's weak responses brought about the more brazen attacks of 9/11. That's not blaming the USA, it's giving a chronology of what led to the attacks and what mistakes in foreign policy we need not repeat. Like Glenn Beck said today in his masterpiece of a speech: spending trillions of dollars and going to war to implant freedom is the absolute wrong way to go; instead, lead by example and others will follow our path to liberty and wealth (paraphrased). George Bush was right when he campaigned on no nation building and a reversal from Clintoon's international policing and meddling; we need to get back to that well thought out plan that Bush campaigned on.

If Ron Paul isn’t conservative, then there is no principle left in conservatism worth fighting for. End of story.
