The "presentation" was odd because it was a therapeutic exercise. It had nothing to do with golf, or the fans, or the public, or anyone else. The audience looked like zombies because they mostly didn't want to be there.

The whole exercise was a part of his treatment and idiot commentators who obsessed about what he would say and later whether it was "enough", etc, were being braindead(surprise surprise). It wasn't about them, or us, fer chrissakes.
