Ryan Sorba, from the Young Americans for Freedom organization’s California chapter, was booed off the stage tonight at CPAC, for deriding CPAC’s choice to have GOProud attend CPAC, even going so far as to say he “condemns CPAC”. Not the sort of thing one would say when invited to speak at the biggest gathering of Conservatives who look to CPAC for guidance and networking.

If it was not, what was your purpose?
I am in favor of way, way less gov intervention and benefits and entitlements - say a roll back to about 1910. So in that case, the only benefits involved would be military pensions. And no single person AFAIK can leave his or her military pension to anyone other than a spouse, and that is as it should be.
So what was your point with the inherited benefit thing?
Plus, it was not that I was uninformed, I am aware that single people cannot leave their pensions or benfits or whatever designated to another person, nor can two unmarried people get tax so-called benefits.

I meant that a homosexual has the same legal rights as any other single person in the eyes of the law. In the realm of hospital visitations and legal inheritance. I can leave all my estate (ha ha) to anyone I want, whether I am married to that person or not. So can any homosexual.

He was perfectly within his rights to talk about the NON-conservative GOProud.
Your read their “Conservative” agenda - what do you think of their plans to repeal DADT, against a Constitutional amendment about marriage. and their plan to interfere with other countries who are not “gay friendly”?

Does GOPride support the COTUS? If not, ban them. Otherwise, anyone who supports the Constitution is a friend of mine. A person can be gay and want to keep traditional marriage. Anyone who wants to use the legislative branch to change laws is someone I can work with. I oppose changing the definition of marriage, but I detest judicial activism.
The number one reason conservatives fail with independents is because we appear to hate. Hatred is our enemy.
If we focus on the COTUS we can win. If we allow wedge issues to divide us, we may fail.

The audience was stacked with gays who were booing before Sorba even took one step to the podium. But Sorba slapped them silly as well as the CPAC organizers.
THIS CANNOT BE the future of conservatism. CPAC is a sham.

Sorba stood up to and rejected YOUR support and gays' support of the subversion of the word, "conservatism" and its principles and tenets.

CPAC has been a joke for sometime. They seemed more concern with the whole big tent thing and less about conservatism. Perhaps it needed a little bit of the $*it stirred up. At least it made us look closer at GOProud.
