If this is allowed to continue, we lose out party.

Ounce upon a time our great party stood for broad themes of individual and economic freedoms. If we have gotten to the situation that the party's existence depends on this issue, we have already lost.

We’ve already lost the party. We are now in the process of losing CPAC and may soon have the Tea Party at risk as GOP tries to “moderate the tone.”

Once conservatives and Republicans accept the false premise that sexual proclivities deserve civil rights protection status we lose a lot more than a party we lose all pretense for conservative ideas of individual sovereignty and the freedom of association which has already been abridged significantly. A conservative homosexual would not seek to be identified as such. He would not see his sexual proclivities as a civil right but merely a personal choice something to be kept private. We’ve seen the same thing with the Republican flirtation with CAP and Trade. Why they think there is any advantage to be had by blurring these lines it is beyond me. Their are not a lot of votes to be gained by courting homosexuals and environmental nuts but the so called Moderates continue to insist on it.
