Don’t you live in Texas? Whatever it is 7 stories and plane hit it! Who cares what they called it!
Does anyone know which house fire is being referenced here?
Post 357 looks like a good candidate.
However, I went online to search the Austin County Appraisal District and could find nobody at that address listed.
Reverse address search also not successful...anybody have a good idea which fire was being referenced here?
Anybody in Austin with a city directory listed by address?
I am up here in Midland so not anywhere nearby.
Thanks, they gave the address, which I googled and looked at what business are listed as being in there. Looks like quite a few.
If that is the guy, maybe a drug connection?
Has anybody seen Debra Medina recently?
Well, if the emerging reports are right and this guy burned his house down and did this on purpose, it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if he had something besides full fuel tanks onboard. Maybe gas cans or some sort of IED.
The fire does seem hugely out of proportion to the plane, though, I’ll definitely grant that. When Cory Lidle’s Cirrus SR-20 hit an apartment building in Manhattan, the resulting fire was nothing like this. When that kid flew a Cessna into a skyscraper in Tampa not long after 9/11, I don’t think that even caught fire at all.

And.... This could be happening soon:

I also heard a witness from across the road who identified the plane as one-engine Piper Sherokee because he use to instruct on it.
He said that he heard it and saw it from across the road with the engine at FULL POWER!!
wAS IT NOT DELIBERATE??
That guy's a builder. There could be dozens of homes linked to his name. A little caution is probably in order.
Said it was low, nearly clipping 30-foot parking lot lights.
The plane that flew into the Pentagon clipped a 30 foot parking light, same flat attack profile.
TIME LINE
12:11 p.m.: Harry Evans of the Austin Fire Department said firefighters found “heavy fire destruction in and around the second floor ... lots of heat, lots of smoke, lots of fire.”
12:03 p.m.: Cynthia Reed, who works in the building next to the one hit, told CNN she saw people who apparently were trapped. “They were hanging out the windows, screaming for help,” she said.
12:02 p.m.: “At this time we have no reason to believe there is a nexus to criminal or terrorist activity,” said Matt Chandler, spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security. “We are in the process of coordinating with state officials and other federal partners to gather more information and at this time we will defer additional questions to local officials and the FAA.”
11:44 a.m.: Firefighters used two ladder trucks and other equipment to hose down the blaze at the building, which police said was located in the 9400 block of Research Boulevard. Traffic on Southbound U.S. 183, which is adjacent to the crash site, started to snarl as black smoke poured out of the seven-story building.
11:36 a.m.: A small airplane crashed into a building in Austin, Texas, Thursday morning, according to Lynn Lundsford of the Federal Aviation Administration.
FOX reported that everything is speculation and we should not jump to conclusions.
They can fly OK, but take-offs and landings...
I can hear Olberdork now. He will twist this into a Tea Party attack.
That’s not the same address as the one given in the first story.
That said, TV typically screws things up (newspaper reporter here, so am used to it).
You're right. And if he's also a vet - they'll pull the big paint brush out and all conservatives will be assumed to be "in" on the act. If it's a Muslim, he'll be one disgruntled individual - acting alone... Janet's concern will be with protecting all Muslims taking flying lessons...
Jedidah - I know FOX has to quote her - not born yesterday - but FOX needs to pull out their black book of experts who know something about this type of situation - and add "balance". Janet's totally predictable take on the situation should not stand alone.

Remember the Florida teen plane crash? There was almost no smoke or fire. Compare that to what is on Fox right now — the inside of the building is ablaze.
