Yea true they did. But here is something people are forgetting. It under the British Flag which till 13 years ago controlled Hong Kong as a British Colony until 1997. Going there now is just begging to surrender more military secrets.

Navy ships have been going there every year this past 13 years as well as before the change over. So a navy ship pulling into port there is not anything out of the ordinary. In fact my visits consisted of being there before and after the changeover.
