(Newser) Claiming an impeccable source, blogger Rich Vail reports tonight that Democrat Barbara Mikulski will follow Evan Bayhs lead and not seek re-election to her Maryland Senate seat this fall.
Vail, a Tea Party supporter behind blog The Vail Spot, says the 73-year-old Mikulski has been slow to recover from an ankle injury suffered last year, and has told her doctor she plans to retire.
It sounds like something Emanuel would pull we have to wait to see who the dem give the most camera time to.
Yeah but Maryland is most likely a Democrat retention. Bayh will hurt because he’s a Blue Senator from a Red state and the Democrats will be hard-pressed to keep it.
New people to replace the ones bailing.
Barbara, hon, your casual flannel shirt awaits you! Enjoy your “retarmit” on the Bay.
Bob’s toupee seems to be.
I wish they’d just go bald.
“Bobs toupee seems to be.”
Nope. It’s real and a real bad haircut.
My sources say Chris Van Hollen would be the Democrat to replace Mikulski as the nominee. And the word is also that Mikulski has some sort of cancer that she’s receiving treatment for.
That sucks.
That's too bad... really. Just because she's a living example of the Peter Principle doesn't mean she deserves something like that.
