I agree with you. These "purity tests" that some conservatives use are absurd. To reject a person because you disagree with them 2-10% of the time (when there is no better alternative) is suicidal, and honestly, a bit childish.

It doesn’t matter what the percentage is, when the point demonstrates weakness of character or dishonesty.

You can find a better alternative in any Denny’s in the country at 6 am on any work day.
