There may be a "soft" campaign here at FR out of necessity, but it won't be soft elsewhere IMO. They have to eliminate her as a threat this year and they know it. Next year is too late.

They will need mnore than good luck to eliminate her. They have fired all their missiles at her and she hasn’t even been grazed. This year, the whole story is going to be the leadup to the 2010 midterms in which the Dems are going to get the thrashing of the century. The big storyline is going to be the impact of the tea partiers and their leader and heroine...Sarah Palin. Her star, which is already high, will be even higher at the end of this year. JMO.
