Bayhs decision will set Dems scrambling for a replacement. The deadline to file to reach the ballot is tomorrow, meaning any Dem considering running for the seat must make a decision quickly.

You’re right!
Friend in St. Louis reminded me that Obama came back from Camp David early. I bet this is why, and it reinforces the idea that this is payback.
I don’t know if anyone could get signatures by tomorrow, unless they already have a sheaf of them on file. And Baron Hill would have to have people tromping through the 10 inches of snow southern Indiana is getting.
I can just see Hill, known as “the Red Baron” running statewide. He will go down like the first Red Baron, in flames.
