The professor told them the 1st day that global warming is a hoax, and every day he tells them more and more lies that have been perpetrated on us.
Stuff I've been telling her for years, but of course they usually have to hear it from someone else at that age!
BTW, I think that prof is head of the department....or else he'd be long gone.
Mrs. Prince of Space
I’ve never met any meteorologists from the NWS who believed in global warming and the only meteorologist I ever heard of who did, was a TV meteorologist.
Good for your daughter’s prof.
Meteorology is a FUN degree to get. If she really likes it, she should pursue it. The calculus is tough, but if she can handle that, she’ll have no problems.
I suspect that meteorologists might be more likely to be global warming skeptics. Professionally they are required to deal with harder, more objective data, especially from satellites. Nor are they able to focus myopically on localized warming, as in the arctic region. They have to look at the whole picture. And they know (and have to know, in order to be successful predictors of weather) that the massive heat sinks represented by the Pacific and Atlantic oceans are FAR more globally significant than the arctic, and the data shows those oceans cooling, not warming.
