My golly everyone.. if you dont like sports/Olympics etc why to you show up to crap on this nice thread?

Find something YOU DO LIKE & POST ON THAT THREAD. It irks me to no end how folks have to be “holier than thou” and post their disdain & how one thing or another is either below them, too liberal for them or too __________(fill in your own blank)

I note this on the Tour de France threads, movie threads, TV threads, food threads, in addition to the political threads. etc.

Now I hope the naysayers will have this out of their systems & go to a BASH Obama thread where it SHOULD be directed. Dont come back to these threads.

Thank you MFH for putting this together. Nice pix & information. I have put together more than my share of “speciality threads” to have the same thing happen.

I slept more than I would like during the opening just due to lack of sleep the few days prior, but the parts I saw were fun & impressive. The sets & lighting were amazing. The talent shared was good (and I dont care about their sexual orientation when they are giving a moving song.. okay?)

I hope there will be no more injuries & the young men & women who have devoted their lives to excellence in their chosen sport will have a great experience over the next few weeks

Am I not permitted to carp, carry on, and complain about how little *I* like the Olympics in a thread dedicated to the Olympics? No? How about you take into account that I actually am ON THE FREAKING HOOK for this debacle? Yes, *I* PERSONALLY have (so far) contributed over $5368 (by latest calculation, final tally is yet to be known) from my income taxes over the last year, and the rest is soon to be squeezed from my ****.

If *I* have no reason to carp, harp, and carry on about how the Olympics are a pain in MY *** and wallet, STFU about 0bama already, hypocrite!
