2004 Interview: Obama Talks about Jesus, Heaven and Sin June 3, 2008 (CBN)
GG: Do you believe in sin?OBAMA: Yes.
GG: What is sin?
OBAMA: Being out of alignment with my values.
GG: What happens if you have sin in your life?
OBAMA: I think its the same thing as the question about heaven. In the same way that if Im true to myself and my faith that that is its own reward, when Im not true to it, its its own punishment.
What a flim flam.
OBAMA: I think its the same thing as the question about heaven. In the same way that if Im true to myself and my faith that that is its own reward, when Im not true to it, its its own punishment.
There is firm proof he's not a Christian. That's a humanist response, not a Christian one.
Lord, deliver us.
OBAMA: Being out of alignment with my values.
And this man dares to claim he is a Christian? Does he really think he is God? What if the interviewer asked “what would be a sin in my life? Would 0bama say it is being out of alignment with “my” values or “your” values?
In addition to being incredibly egocentric his statement on its face is nonsense. With that definition how could anyone say that Hitler or Stalin sinned by murdering millions? Maybe they sinned in those rare instances that they showed mercy and spared a life. And America elected this moral idiot.
That's one of the strangest interpretations of sin in Christianity I've ever heard.
I am always wary of committing a No True Scotsman fallacy, especially with religion, but I don't see how a person can believe this and still call himself Christian. Even with No True Scotsman, there has to be a point at which you break a universally accepted core tenet of a religion, and therefore are no longer of that religion.
