Yup. Last January, instead of rebuilding a crucial element of our business that had collapsed, we collected the insurance, sold the place and called it good. We haven’t looked back.
I work for a company which makes sensors which are used in everything from hard drives to cars to missles to wind turbines etc. Last year we had or first layoffs in the company’s 40+ years in business due to a 25% drop in our bookings. Now we are actually hiring back some of those laid off, but hiring them through a temp agency—our company always hired direct prior to this.
The point is that our management is bringing them back as temps, not because we want to try before we buy, these are already trained and seasoned employees who have a good work history with us. Management is going the temp route because of the uncertainty of the regulatory environment black cloud which Zero and crew have created.
