Wow.

Clinton had a quadruple bypass shortly before I had mine.

And already he’s going to the hospital?

Crossing fingers, I am 59, female, and doing fine. Just went to Cardio....had cholesterol at 183, good cholesterol okay, sugar at 109, lost 5 pounds over Christmas holidays.

My secret?

I religiously vigorously exercise every day except Sunday. For one full hour and I love it.

What I do, I go out to my back yard. I take coffee and treat bucket for dog. I alternately jog and walk around in circles. I play with dog, maybe listen to IPOD, sometimes like in spring listen and look for birds. I track my “circuits” with chalk on the deck post. I walk or jog about the equivalent of 8 football field lengths, all in a circle in my own backyard. In summer I got a big box fan to blow on me. I rest twice during this morning process.

I used to take dog for walk but too many loose dogs attacked my tethered and haltered dog so I use my own God Bless Me back yard. I practice jogging with the dog on the leash like they do in the dog shows and in general me and her have a great time and she, of course, loves it. Both of us get an hour plus of exercise this way. I play the “tuggie” toy with her, hiding behind the tree, make believe I’m gonna get her, then run after her. She bounds past me trying to avoid me. If I touch her as she runs past then I win. both of us all moving about with this.

After a while the body wants the exercise and you get up and do it. Gotta get the blood pumping through the body, burn up the sugars.

I did change my diet but I don’t suffer. I stopped eating cheese by the pound for one thing. I totally cut out sugar almost, eating sugarless candy. Long ago I switched to Diet soda and sweet and low in my coffee. Boom, I moved over to sugarless candy and such and now I think nothing of it. Although Diabetes was never a problem with me, I have been warned to be careful. I treat myself to something like a hamburger from MickyD’s once in a while. Moderation.

During these recent blizzards obviously I cannot go outside what with almost three feet of Al Gore’s global warming upon my ground.

So I sat down and put 15 songs on the IPOd, in total equal to almost an hour of music. I get out the dog’s treat jar and with the Ipod in my ear, with the songs I know will make me move, with the dog at my side not knowing what the hell I am doing but hey, she’s game....I dance and move and jog all around the house, dog on leash...yes hand to God, cats jumping out of the way. I touch toes and swing torso and dance as if choreographing with the Stars, yes I do.

Three days I went without exercising and I felt like I weighed a ton. I’ll have to do this inside adaptation for another week maybe but thank the Lord....cause I got to move.

Clinton, dag, he’s only 62. I wonder if he exercises.

I’m wrong about the timing of this. I had a quadruple in 2007. clinton’s was in 2002 or so.

I understand he’s having two stents today.

I had the quadruple on Monday and came home on Thursday.

Congratulations. Maybe you will motivate some of us to get moving, though I want to wait till the weather warms up, which I hope is soon!
