Former President Bill Clinton was rushed to a Manhattan hospital late this afternoon, sources tell ABC News. A look back at presidential history from 1960 to 2008. Clinton, 63, was transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan for a condition related to his heart.

In NYC there are also Mount Sinai and NYU (both in Manhattan), Albert Einstein (The Bronx) and Downstate Medical Center (Brooklyn), all with their own medical schools and university hospitals.
It will be barf-inducing for sure.
These Politicians live under great stress in a world they see falling down around them, this is bound to affect a healthy human being, let alone someone with a heart condition..I believe you can put in an additional stent.
I'm thinking the same thing. We're talking about, five years after a complete quadruple bypass?
Needing a stent isn't near as bad as needing a bypass, I understand this. But Clinton's artery had clogged enough that it was causing him chest pain. That's how I knew I had a heart problem, I had chest pain, took a stress test, collapsed during the stress test and was rushed right to the hospital.
I know Cheney had stents too after he had a major bypass.
Hey lookit, this sort of thing is definitely heredity. In fact I read a book about people who had heart surgery, mostly bypasses. You'd be surprised...Larry King, Peggy Fleming...yeah the ice skater, the black guy on 60 Minutes. There were different ages, different circumstances but one thing they all had in common...ONE OR BOTH PARENTS TOO HAD CLOGGED ARTERIES.
By me, my father and his whole family had heart issues. father had first heart attack at age 42....lived to be 65 with a real bad heart. He had bypass surgery too but back then it wasn't near as sophisticated as now. Medicine not nearly as good either. Lipitor keeps you humming.
I still say, and I stand by...exercise is the key. Moving blood through your body "scrubs" cholesterol, burns it off, and it exercises your heart.
Most conservatives on FR are Christians and Jews as well..

I have said so many bad things about him that it would be unseemly of me to say good things about him now, still I confess that I would much rather have him back in office than what we have now. Of course I would rather have the average wino out of the gutter as well.

On a completely unrelated note, it's surprising that so many of the big research/teaching hospitals are behind Obamacare. It's seems to me that they have done VERY well for themselves with private financing and privately insured patients.
After all, when Liam Neeson's wife collapsed in Canada, they flew to Lennox Hill, didn't they? They certainly didn't leave her in Canada.
We need a return to decency, honesty, and character. We do not need to lower our standards to the least worst among us.
True Freepers, get a grip and talk to some of these fools who would prefer Clinton to Obama. That is like preferring Mussolini to Hitler, or Gonorrhea to Syphilis.
You know, jacquej..we've been around campus for a long, long time and while I have rarely disagreed with you, with respect, this is one time I have to stand up for myself on this one.
When I said I prefer Clinton over Obama, I really meant that if one of them has to be called to meet their maker, I would prefer Clinton stayed behind. And the "lessor of two evils" was never so apparent as the rotten choice we had in the last Presidential election.
We all know what Clinton was, but for all the things he was ever called, Mussolini or Hitler wasn't the first thing that came to mind. Obama, the Dictator, is far more dangerous than Bill Clinton was.
Do I have issues with Clinton, you betcha. But yes, I do prefer him over Obama...all day long and twice on Sundays.
Three days of news distraction so Reid/Pelousi/Obama can get their jobs bill passed over the weekend.
At this point I would take Biden over Obama.

If he would of retained majority of congress after the 94 elections I bet you would be thinking twice about that statement. Make no mistake, he and his wife are just as bad as the current group of flunkies.
