I remember when he was on the ticket with Lurch sKerry (who, by the way, served in Vietnam), that occasionally the press would show pictures of he with his older daughter, and I would also see clips of he and his daughter on stage together at campaign rallies...what struck me about those at the time was that if you didn't know about them at all, you'd think that his daugther was his wife. Then when you had the three of them together, E. Edwards most definitely looked older than the "youthful" John. Back then, she was very overweight, their daughter in her early 20s I believe, and poor Elizabeth would often be shown on tape walking behind John and their daughter. I can even remember seeing John and their daughter with the two young children (they were real young back in 2000). Again, if you didn't know, you'd see them as the family unit (minus E.E.). Anyway, the thought crossed my mind occasionally that the LSM was deliberately trying to project an image of Edwards with a younger, beautiful wife...like the ol' John and Jackie kind of deal.
I realize that sounds cynical, callous, but I would never put it past the sicko minds of the media.
