..."we're going to take the GOP over the edge..."

The GOP has done gone over the edge time & again during GBs Presidency & before with the bipartisan, reaching across the aisle crap. We conservatives are weeding out the RINOs who have infected our nation with their RepublicRAT BS and McAMNESTY is the main man in that picture. Lately he has switched course so he can sound conservative & pull in gullible suckers to vote for him.

Traitor? What do you call it when he not only fights every attempt to close the border to the illegal invasion but aids & abets LaRaza? He threw the election to Hussein, has never spoken a word of anger or dismay at Hussein's antiAmerican actions, only ridiculed and attacked conservatives. This is a longstanding MO with this man -- Yes, he fought and suffered hell in Hanoi, but in 1990 in the senate he fought every effort to continue investigation and further search for many POWs/MIAs when there was reasonable evidence they DID exist--teaming up with John F'n Kerry to block search & rescue and treating POW families with scorn and contempt.

JD Haworth will hopefully replace McCain.

Pressed for time here, have to leave---if you want an opinion of McCain by a higher rank (lol) ask JimRob what he thinks of the man.

Sorry, but I can form my own opinions. I don't need to ask JimRob what I should think.

I guess everyone in government must be traitors since no one has stepped up to close the borders. There has been no effort to close the borders, and thus none for McCain to fight. I agree with you the dereliction of duty by all on this is infuriating. But no, I don't count that as treason which has a very specific definition of lending aid and comfort to the enemy in a time of war.

Why do we remain stuck on one mistaken policy position McCain took and ignore all the times he did the right thing which far outnumbers the wrong? Someone posted on here a few weeks ago a piece showing all the liberal positions Hayworth took in Congress. Frankly it's nearly impossible to serve long in Congress without taking a few ideologically impure stands. They've all done it.

And yet not one has ever turned up all these years later. McCain took the position he did not out of "treason," but because the baseless idea that there were still POWs in Vietnam was keeping a lot of families from closure and keeping them in pain. The fact is, a lot of Vietnamese manufactured evidence of POWs either to get reward or in the hopes of being allowed into the US. No POW has ever turned up since the war ended and no solid evidence exists there were any--much of the "evidence" there was has been debunked--there's barely any flimsey evidence. Why would the Vietnamese have even wanted to keep them? And why wouldn't there be evidence of any all these years later with satellite technology, etc.? Sorry, but McCain was right to oppose a myth that just kept a lot of families in pain. Do you REALLY think a former POW would fight efforts to bring remaining POWs home if he truly thought there were any left or if there was anything like reasonable evidence there were? Come on.
