Hmmm... is there anything in Michelle’s “won’t miss” list you *do* like? If so, what?
Though I disagree with the entirety of the Department of Education and was disappointed that Reagan didn't fulfill his campaign promise and get rid of it, I agree with putting the concept of accountability into education, while disagreeing with spending more money on it. So I guess I *do* like the conservative concept of personal responsibility.
Does that count?
Most of Michelle's list includes hyperbolic, angry verbiage that make that question difficult to answer. It's not that she disagrees with some of the less-than-conservative things she believes that President Bush did (I don't agree at all with several of the things on her list, as they are stated), it's that she states them in such an extreme (and angry) manner with absolutely no reference to any of the solid conservative things he did as a counter weight. And she is clearly angry about this billboard and is using the (rightful) growing popularity of President Bush as a jumping off point to draw attention to herself and spit at him.
As I have said many times on this board, I don't have any problem with a person's saying that President Bush wasn't entirely conservative. I just object to the false accusation that he wasn't conservative at all, and the visceral disgust for an honorable man of integrity that usually goes along with those false words.
I don't think hatred and gross hyperbole are one bit conservative, do you? Or do you.......
