Yea, I miss him, but still, he fell down pretty hard in shrinking the size and scope of government.

What burns my behind more than anything is unsecured borders in a time of war. Disgusting!

In 1945 England voted out Churchill, perhaps their greatest Prime Minister ever. Just a few years ago Australia voted out John Howard who many thought was their greatest leader.

While G.W. was no Churchill or Howard it shows that voters after a certain period of time is going to vote for a change no matter how stupid it is.

I think you have fallen for an internet myth of what the CFR is.

The CFR has everyone from libertarians to hard right to hard left and puts out “point counterpoint” papers.

Basically a glorified debating society with people on both sides of every issue.

Tom Tancredo (just for example of a solid right winger) put out his anti-illegal immigrant papers in CFR to be contrasted with pro-illegal immigration people.

Probably take a few more years yet, before the democrats finally see G.W. Bush as a hero of the democrat party.. and honor him so.. Already Bush is appearing with the criminal Clintoon in TV ads.. And John McLame lamenting over the death of his good friend Ted Kennedy..

Yup, many FReepers have forgotten the summer of 07 when McCain and Kennedy tried to foist amnesty on us and Bush was in full support. I don’t miss Bush at all, but yes, would have him over Obama, then again, I would have a dead skunk in the middle of road over Obama.

Yep. He wasn’t perfect, but he was a damn good leader and is a very good man. I miss him a lot. Bambi isn’t even close to his level of class.

I saw this billboard in late December. I believe that it's about 45 minutes north of MSP, visible while going southbound on the East (left) side of the interstate. I was hoping that it was part of a larger national campaign, but apparently it isn't. I wish now that I had gone back to take a picture.

Bush has been to polite and not spoken up against all the critism. I didn’t agree with him on spending and immigration, but he was a real stateman.

RE :”Miss Bush yet?

NO!

Miss the guy that demanded the unconstitutional 900B executive slush fund TARP for Obama to use forever?(and used to to bailout GM yet?) Not on your life. Let's stay focused on democrats and not try silly revive Bush games. Bush is who made Obama/Pelosi possible more-so than any one other republican, although he had help.

It’s like asking a terminal cancer patient if he misses that heartburn he used to have. I don’t miss either, although it wasn’t as bad before.

No. It's not forgotten. Neither is the Dubai ports nonsense. But we got loud and won. Contrast that to Obamas response to the people on healthcare and cap and trade nonsense.
